Description
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, Monday - Friday, 8-10 hour shifts between 0500-2030. PACU open 0700-2000, Pre/Post open 0515-2030. Call may be required 1-3 weeknights per month and 1-3 weekends per 13-week contract during off hours (2000-0700).
Highlights:
- Work in a state-of-the-art Universal Care Center with 23 Pre/Post beds and 14 PACU bays
- Diverse surgical specialties including bariatric, orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and sports medicine
- Patient ratios: 1:2 in PACU, 1:3 in Pre/Post operative areas
- Epic EMR system required; comprehensive 40-hour orientation provided
- Free onsite parking at a modern, advanced hospital and wellness center
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, and more
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- PACU/Recovery Room experience required
- Pre-operative and Phase II Post-operative RN experience required
- Two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty (hard requirement)
- Epic EMR experience required; preferred within the last 12 months
- Basic arrhythmia and telemetry experience required; must pass facility telemetry exam prior to start
- BLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association only
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility location
