Location: Lima, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend; no call required; must be able to float to all units within skill level

Highlights:

• Specialized telemetry unit focused on post-operative open heart care
• Work with a collaborative care team including LPN, PCT, and Unit Secretary staff
• Manage complex cardiac patients including chest tube and drain management, radial and femoral access care
• Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring skills including rhythm strip interpretation and response
• Hands-on experience with ventilation devices, temporary pacers, and pericardial pacing wires
• 13-week contract supporting a mission-driven health system

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Ohio or Compact state (must be verified through Nursys)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and emergency response
• Experience with chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wire removal, and temporary pacer management
• Knowledge of non-invasive ventilation devices, high-flow oxygen systems, and other respiratory support equipment
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current skills checklist (pertinent to telemetry specialty, within one year) required
