Description
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Athens, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 24/7 department coverage with rotating shifts; every other weekend required; flexible floating within facility and scope of practice
Highlights:
- Diverse patient population spanning neonates to geriatrics across multiple specialty units
- High-acuity critical care environment including 30-bed ICU, 25-bed Open Heart unit, 25-bed NICU, and 45-bed Emergency Department
- Advanced clinical experience with ventilator management, ECMO, high-frequency oscillators, intubation, and nitric oxide therapy
- Required Epic charting system experience; Puritan Bennett and Servo I ventilator platforms
- Join a robust team of 9-13 respiratory therapists per shift in a collaborative care environment
- Maximum 7 days requested time off available during assignment
Requirements:
- Active Georgia state Respiratory Therapist license or Compact license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- Current certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR system
- Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, aerosol treatments, BiPAP, intubation, ABG interpretation, and critical care interventions
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of application
