Location: Dothan, Alabama

Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift, 1900-0700; Every other weekend required; 1:2 patient ratio; No floating

Highlights:

• LDRP unit caring for labor patients and antepartum patients down to 27 weeks gestation
• Manage high-acuity patients including PIH on Magnesium therapy and preterm labor cases
• Monthly facility birth volume of 100-200 deliveries in a teaching hospital environment
• Charting with EPIC and GE Centricity systems
• Comprehensive patient care including NST, continuous fetal monitoring, IV starts, amnioinfusion, and epidural assistance
• 24-hour orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year experience

Requirements:

• Active Alabama RN license at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery / LDRP experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:2 required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and C-section recovery
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement, and spiral electrode placement
• Competency in medication administration including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, prostaglandins, and anticoagulation therapy
• Skills in neonatal resuscitation, breastfeeding support, and postpartum care
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Candidates must reside outside 90-mile local radius
