Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights based on department needs; Weekend shifts vary based on unit requirements

Highlights:

• Specialty focus in Oncology PCU and Medical-Surgical units within a secure corrections healthcare setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for PCU, 1:4-5 for Medical-Surgical assignments
• Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management required
• Diverse patient population including active oncology treatments, solid tumors, hematology, and general medical-surgical diagnoses
• 72-hour comprehensive orientation with interdisciplinary team support including rapid response, pharmacy, respiratory services, and more
• Float opportunities to various Oncology MS and PCU units for professional development

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year current specialty experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Competencies in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line/PICC line management, heparin and insulin protocols, respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC), tracheostomy care, and chemotherapy monitoring
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
