```htmlJob Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Houston, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; No call required

Highlights:

  • 14–22 bed pediatric medical-surgical unit with acuity-based staffing
  • Patient ratio of 4:1 on medical-surgical cases
  • Meditech EMR system in use
  • Diverse case mix including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, seizure management, and non-invasive cardiology
  • Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, and thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants
  • May float to Level 1 or Level 2 NICU only

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
  • BLS certification required
  • PALS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Pediatric medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
