Description
Start Date: March 9, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment; every other weekend required; maximum 7 days PTO allowed (blackout dates apply for Spring Break: April 4–12)
Highlights:
- Step-down unit with mixed patient population including medical/surgical, telemetry, intermediate care, neuro, respiratory, and cardiac patients
- Patient ratios of 1:4–5; assignments may include all PCU, all MS/Tele, or a combination based on acuity and staffing needs
- Experience with cardiac drip titration and telemetry monitoring required
- Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols
- Adolescent to geriatric patient population; 36-bed unit with daily census of approximately 30 patients
- Floating within facility and scope of practice may be required; no call requirements
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with PCU/step-down, neuro patients (including CVA and post-neurosurgery), and BiPAP management
- Competency in IV starts, central line care, blood product administration, and isolation precautions
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
- Full compliance required to start on time; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
