Description
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating shifts as assigned; flexibility required
Highlights:
- High-acuity surgical trauma floor specializing in spinal neuro trauma, critical injuries, and complex cases
- Patient population includes spinal trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 with strong support staff including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries
- EPIC EMR system in use; structured nurse handoff process from ED to admitting unit
- Contract start date in early March with immediate impact on patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility for compact licensure)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical trauma or neuro trauma specialty
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
- Willingness to work assigned shifts; block scheduling not available
