Description
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating days/nights; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing needs
Highlights:
- Specialized BMT unit caring for patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- Complex oncology case mix including ALL, AML, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic leukemia, and myeloproliferative disorders
- 36-bed unit with daily census of 33 patients; 72-hour orientation provided
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social services, and rapid response teams
- Float opportunities to other MedSurg Oncology units; one pre-approved time off period per contract
- Work with cutting-edge equipment including GE telemetry monitoring and Alaris pumps
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years recent RN experience; at least 1 year current specialty experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology
- Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred; BMT experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system proficiency required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification and Oncology Certification preferred (chemo certification not required)
- Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
