Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with a focus on post-surgical care and pain management
• Patient ratios typically 5-6:1, occasionally flexing to 7:1 in high-census situations
• Epic EMR system utilized; previous Epic experience strongly preferred
• 13-week contract with up to 7 days of approved time off (excluding holidays and first week of orientation)
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical cases
• Floating may be required to other med-surg units based on facility census and staffing needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with required orthopedic experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license (must be in hand by start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Required skills: IV insertion and maintenance, telemetry monitoring
• Epic charting experience highly preferred; first-time travelers accepted if Epic-experienced
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Preferred: ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
