Description
Start Date: March 9, 2026
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts; every other weekend required. Floating between NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics as needed.
Highlights:
- Primary assignment in Labor & Delivery with rotation through NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics based on facility needs
- Opportunity to work with diverse pediatric and neonatal patient populations in a dynamic, high-acuity environment
- Exposure to advanced respiratory modalities including Nitric Oxide, Inhaled Flolan, BiPAP/CPAP, and mechanical ventilation
- Cerner charting system utilized
- First-time travelers accepted with qualifying experience
- May float to affiliate hospital locations as needed
Requirements:
- Indiana State License (temporary accepted if permanent application submitted)
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required (NRP may be obtained post-offer if assigned to L&D)
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years strongly preferred; Level I Trauma adult facility experience may be considered for strong clinicians
- Must have Labor & Delivery experience as primary placement will be in L&D
- Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
- Skills in pediatric critical care, arterial blood gas interpretation, nitric oxide administration, bicarbonate therapy, heated aerosol delivery, and advanced ventilation management required
