Description
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 8-week assignment with pre-approved time off available
Highlights:
- Pre-op and Phase 2 recovery in GI procedural unit serving adults and geriatric populations
- Daily census of 35-50 patients; predominantly outpatient setting with some inpatient care
- Patient ratios: 1:1 in pre-op, 1:3 in post-op recovery
- Epic charting system with mandatory orientation training provided
- 20 hours of paid orientation; up to 7 hours of non-billable modules
- Full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active Virginia RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in IV starts
- Epic charting experience preferred; Epic training required for all travelers
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Compliance with smoke/nicotine-free facility policy
