Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 1:2 patient ratios, weekend coverage as needed, may be required to float to telemetry and sister facility locations

Highlights:

• Charge nurse position in a 12-bed ICU with daily census of 6 patients
• Acute care hospital with 189 staffed beds; free parking available
• Work with complex patient populations including septic shock, respiratory failure, stroke, DKA, and GI bleed
• Advanced procedures including CRRT, target temperature management, and vasoactive titrations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Meditech charting system; any scrub color permitted

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience is required
• Must hold experience in multiple specialized ICU settings beyond MICU (Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Shock ICU, or Neuro ICU strongly preferred)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Competency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, CRRT, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Must be willing to float to telemetry and affiliated hospital locations as needed
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
