Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 13-26 week assignments available

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical unit with oncology patient population, including chemotherapy administration
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with a daily census of 42 beds
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation over 2 shifts
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Experience with ports, central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, blood products, and insulin/heparin drips
• Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be required based on facility needs

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience in an inpatient setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC) required – may be obtained prior to start date
• Competency in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration (IV, PO, or injection)
• Experience with medical-surgical skills including colostomy care, port access, central line management, surgical drains, chest tubes, and wound care
• Proficiency with isolation precautions, blood product administration, and non-invasive airway management
• EKG competency testing required prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted
