Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment; every other weekend and holiday rotation required; night shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 3 behavioral health techs with house-wide supervisor support

Highlights:

• 30-bed locked adult inpatient behavioral health unit with average daily census of 20 patients
• RN to patient ratio of 1:9 depending on census
• Adult and geriatric patient population with average length of stay 5-7 days
• EPIC EMR system in use
• Primary nursing model with collaborative interdisciplinary team
• 8-hour non-billable orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• CPI or other de-escalation training certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health Unit experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• Experience with de-escalation of agitated patients
• Reliable attendance record and strong patient-oriented approach
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
• 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
