Schedule: Night shift, self-scheduling system with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Comprehensive Cancer Center with 318 acute care beds specializing in multiple oncology disciplines
• Float opportunities across specialized oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
• Staffing ratios: PCU 1:3-1:4 with mixed acuity; Med Surg Telemetry ideally 1:4, may be 1:5
• Epic charting system with robust interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Structured orientation: First week Monday-Friday dayshift, followed by five shifts of bedside orientation before independent practice
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of recent high acuity Med Surg Telemetry experience or higher required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Availability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
