Schedule: Variable shifts with float to Pre-Op, Phase I, and Phase II Recovery; call coverage may include 1-2 days per week (8pm-6am weekdays, 7am-7pm weekends); weekend coverage required

Highlights:

• Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with an average daily census of 15 patients
• Exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecological, neurological, urological, ophthalmic, and plastic procedures (excludes cardiac)
• Epic charting system in use throughout facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and interpretation services
• 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure smooth transition and familiarity with unit protocols
• Opportunity to develop advanced skills in conscious sedation, arterial line management, vascular access, and post-anesthesia care across multiple recovery phases

Requirements:

• Valid California Registered Nurse license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or Post-Anesthesia nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Demonstrated Epic charting system experience required
• Strong competency in arterial line management, vascular access, pre-op and post-op care, and Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Experience with conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition, airway assessment, and management of ventilated patients
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty
• Willingness to float between departments and potentially to affiliate facilities within the region
• Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at an adjusted rate
