Start Date: March 16, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Adult and geriatric medical/surgical unit with general patient population, daily census approximately 43 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7, with charge nurse responsibilities for night shift travelers
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Experience with insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow oxygen required
• 13 to 26-week contract assignments available with 24 hours of unit orientation
• Float to similar units as needed; must be available for inclement weather team assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (pending acceptable for submission, required at start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience strongly required
• Competency with insulin and heparin drip management
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Charge nurse experience preferred; CPI certification preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to work holidays (2 out of 3 major holidays required) and care for COVID-positive patients as needed
