Description
Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Northern California
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available; 4x12 schedule upon request; 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Highlights:
- LDRP specialty unit with 10 beds and approximately 200-300 births per month
- Epic charting system in a 277-bed acute care hospital setting
- 36-hour orientation program to ensure smooth onboarding
- Advanced labor and delivery skills utilized including high-risk antepartum, IUPC placement, magnesium sulfate therapy, and C-section circulation
- Comprehensive experience with triage, sterile vaginal exams, and central line maintenance
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)
Requirements:
- Valid California RN license (must be active prior to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery AND Postpartum experience required (both are mandatory)
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Willingness to float between like units and potentially to nearby affiliate facilities
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment in comparable specialty within the last 3 years
