Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs

Highlights:

• 36-bed Medical/Surgical Oncology unit serving adult and geriatric patients with various cancer diagnoses and symptom management needs
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Heavy focus on continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety
• Epic charting system; special equipment includes GE telemetry system, Alaris pumps, and bladder scanners
• 72-hour orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available
• Oncology experience preferred but not required for qualified Med/Surg RNs with relevant clinical skills

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year of current specialty experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing within the most recent 3 years
• Current BLS certification
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV starts, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line/PICC line management, arterial line management, and ABG interpretation
• Willingness to float to other Medical/Surgical Oncology units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
