Description
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required, floating within facility/scope as needed
Highlights:
- Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with mixed medical, respiratory, and cardiac patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
- 36-bed unit with average daily census of 30; assignments at PCU acuity level
- Titration of cardiac drips required; experience with vasoactive medications essential
- Epic EMR with Pyxis and SBAR protocols in use
- Assignment length determines orientation hours; bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Holiday coverage required per facility policy; maximum 7 days RTO allowed
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Strong telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills
- Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips and managing vasoactive medications
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen therapy, and tracheostomy care
- Central line, PICC line, and IV management competency
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at submission
- Epic charting experience preferred; community hospital experience a plus
- Must be available to complete compliance requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
