Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with every other weekend, flexible block scheduling available upon discussion

Highlights:

• 24-bed medical rehabilitation unit specializing in cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, and neurological diseases
• Collaborative interdisciplinary care team model including physiatrist, NP, nurse, therapists, and social worker dedicated to each patient
• Average length of stay approximately 2 weeks with intensive therapy sessions 3 hours daily Monday through Friday
• Charting system: Cerner EMR with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6 on nights; float to medical-surgical units as needed within scope of practice
• Orientation held every other week on Thursdays; free parking garage available for travelers

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable at submission; must be active before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 1 year in-specialty (acute care rehab) experience required
• BLS certification via American Heart Association required; acute care rehab experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references within the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption provided; COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must reside greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• First-time travelers accepted
