Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend and every other holiday, 2:1 patient ratio

Highlights:

• 24-bed specialty unit focused on cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation
• Advanced critical care experience with ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, CRRT, and IABP
• Epic charting system required; 24 hours of orientation provided
• 13-week assignment with up to 40 hours of pre-approved time off
• Float required within scope of practice per facility policy
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or pending (must be in-hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience with 2:1 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Surgical ICU experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred; BSN preferred
• Proficiency with cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skills in ECMO, IABP, post-cardiac surgery care, TAVR, CRRT, and advanced cardiac procedures
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Nursys verification and professional references required for submission
