Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; patient ratios 1:6-7

• Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit specializing in orthopedic trauma, neurological trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and spine injuries
• Epic charting system with 12-hour unit orientation plus 16-hour organizational education
• Floating to similar units and alternate care locations as needed based on census
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license required at time of start
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry experience within the last 5 years
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic documentation experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in managing heparin drips, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, IV starts, and phlebotomy
• Experience with dysrhythmia management, oxygen protocol management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, traumatic brain injury care, orthopedic trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and wound care
• Comfortable with 1:6-7 patient ratios
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
