Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; charge role required for night travelers

Highlights:

• Adult and geriatric general medical/surgical patient population with daily census of approximately 43 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7 on night shift
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management
• 13-26 week contract lengths available
• 24-hour orientation program with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Opportunity to serve in charge nurse capacity and gain leadership experience

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at start date)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Competency with insulin and heparin drips mandatory
• Experience with high flow oxygen, wound vac dressing changes, and isolation precautions
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Willingness to work holidays (must work 2 out of 3 major holidays)
• Availability to serve on inclement weather/storm team as assigned
• Comfortable floating to similar units and alternate care locations based on census needs
• Charge nurse experience and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
