Highlights:

Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment including troubleshooting and maintenance
Operate advanced imaging systems including Gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT scanners
Collaborate closely with physicians to determine appropriate procedures and ensure effective operations
Provide clinical instruction for radiology students and residents
Work with state-of-the-art equipment; Siemens and Spectrum Imaging experience highly preferred
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Active permanent or temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Medical Board
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT within 6 months of hire
American Heart Association BLS certification
Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, including related aspects of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences
Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines
Proficiency in operating Gamma cameras, SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG for cardiac studies
