Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Block scheduling with variable shifts; every other weekend required; no on-call
Highlights:
- 181-bed children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Specialized PICU/NICU respiratory care with neonatal through adolescent patient populations
- Epic charting system with comprehensive 24-hour orientation
- No floating between units; dedicated unit assignment
- Advanced equipment including Draeger V800/VN800 ventilators, LTV 1200, and Optiflow Jr/Airvo 2 HFNC systems

Requirements:
- Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license with Compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- PICU/NICU experience required; Level II Trauma experience required
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- First-time travelers welcome; 1-year contract accepted
- Proficiency in pediatric critical care skills including intubation assist, tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation management, and bubble CPAP
