Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week available
Highlights:
- High-volume birthing unit with over 300 births per month and an average of 20 deliveries per 24-hour period
- 13 to 26-week contract options available with every-other-weekend requirement (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Comprehensive patient care including obstetrical triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum services for patients 16 weeks and greater
- Epic EMR system with 24 hours of paid orientation and full interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, PT, radiology, and rapid response teams
- May float as needed to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit
- Scrubs provided
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
- Must have experience in high-volume facilities with more than 300 births per month
- Strong competency in circulating for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
- Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP required
- Epic charting system experience required
- North Carolina or Compact RN license required at start
- First-time travelers accepted if experienced in similar high-volume settings
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
