Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with every other weekend and some holidays

Highlights:

• Join an 18-bed Neuro ICU specializing in critically ill adult patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and post-neurosurgery care
• Work at a Magnet-designated, Comprehensive Stroke Center ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Utilize specialized interventions including ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), lumbar drains, and hypothermia protocols
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
• 13-week travel assignment with approximately one week of orientation
• 2:1 patient ratio providing focused, high-quality critical care

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or multistate compact license from permanent address state (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in specialty area
• Successful completion of at least one previous travel assignment (13 weeks minimum)
• Experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drain management required
• BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Basic arrhythmia experience required; must pass telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria
• Epic charting experience required
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the assigned work location
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
