Start Date: April 13, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13-week contract, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Emergency Department inpatient holding area supporting patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Patient ratios: 1:6 for Med/Surg-Telemetry or 1:4 for Progressive Care Unit level patients
• Float pool position with flexibility to float to ED and Med/Surg areas as needed
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 12-hour orientation with comprehensive unit support including Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for diverse adult medical-surgical diagnoses

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license required at start
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Required skills: Med/Surg-Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, chest tube management, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy management, and isolation precautions
• Preferred skills: IV insulin protocols, hemodialysis management, port access, central line management, IV starts, CVA care, neuro surgery, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and wound care/wound vac
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
