Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• 41-bed progressive care trauma/telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients after traumatic injury
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 as needed; telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic EMR system; orientation every Monday with paid pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours)
• 13-week contract with extension opportunities available
• Diverse case mix including gunshot wounds, motor vehicle crashes, falls, and orthopedic trauma

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry required
• Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry experience; 2+ years preferred for first-time travelers
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, chest tube management, wound care, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Experience with traumatic injuries including craniotomy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic trauma preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility (mileage requirements apply based on specialty and shift)
