Description
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time, includes approximately 32 hours on-call per month and one weekend per month with 24-hour call coverage both days
Highlights:
- Perform scrub and circulating duties for open heart adult surgery cases including CABG and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
- Specialized CVOR caseload featuring TAVR, laser lead extractions, and experience with advanced devices including Impella, HeartMate, and ECMO
- Float to Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled, offering diverse experience across cardiovascular procedures
- Hospital-provided scrubs and no block scheduling requirements
- Local candidates welcomed at the same rate as travel assignments
- Average 18 hours of non-billable pre-start modules including EPIC training
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of perioperative nursing experience; first-time travelers may be considered with highly relevant experience
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
- Scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR procedures is required
- Proficiency with cardiovascular devices and equipment including Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, and IABP
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to float within skillset and work flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
