Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day or night (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), Sunday through Saturday rotation with some holiday coverage based on operational need
Highlights:

- Care for patients across four dynamic specialties: Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, and ENT
- Gain specialized experience in airway management, tracheostomy care, free flap monitoring, and urinary diversion education
- Patient ratios: 3:1 days, 4:1 nights and weekends
- Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- 28-bed unit with daily census of 28 patients; excellent opportunity to build critical care skills
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
- Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years
- Tracheostomy and surgical nursing experience required
- Experience in gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, and colorectal procedures preferred
- Epic EMR experience required; experience within the last 12 months preferred
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass required telemetry testing prior to start
- BLS certification through American Heart Association only
- Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from facility location
- Previous travel nursing experience required
