Description
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotating (12-hour shifts), variable weekends based on staffing needs, self-scheduling with request preferences
Highlights:
- Work in a comprehensive 318-bed acute care cancer center with specialized 36-bed oncology units
- Float to specialized units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
- Patient ratios: PCU 1:3-1:4 with mixed acuity, Med Surg Tele 1:4-1:5
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- 100 hours of structured orientation including one week of classroom training followed by bedside orientation
- Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of high acuity Med Surg Telemetry experience or higher (within the most recent 3 years, with at least 1 year current specialty experience)
- Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Patient ratio experience up to 1:5
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
