Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Syracuse, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Highlights:
- Full-time travel assignment with consistent weekday schedule
- Work directly with pathologists in surgical pathology specimen preparation and dissection
- Perform frozen sections, gross biopsies, and large complex specimens
- Oversee surgical pathology grossing room operations and technical staff
- Holiday coverage as needed; overtime available at 1.25x multiplier
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements:
- Active New York Pathology License
- (PA)ASCP certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (equivalent certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 1+ years of current Pathologists' Assistant experience
- Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree will be reviewed
- Demonstrated competency in performing frozen sections, grossing biopsies, and handling large complex specimens
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel assignment requirement)
- Reliable personal vehicle required
