Location: Orange County, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; weekends required (every other, may exceed based on unit needs); 36-hour orientation; float to Mother Baby as needed

Highlights:

• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
• Average 6-8 deliveries daily in a 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms
• Epic EMR system; acute care hospital with 320 staffed beds
• Diverse case mix including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, and high-risk antepartum
• Interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required – hardstop), BLS, and NRP
• Expert-level competency performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision (required – hardstop)
• Demonstrated experience in triage of obstetrical patients (required – hardstop)
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in external and internal fetal monitoring, spiral electrode placement, IUPC placement and calibration
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, C-section circulating and scrubbing, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage management, and postpartum recovery
• LA County Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
