Description
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Primary assignment in Labor & Delivery with pediatric specialties including NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics
- Opportunity to work with diverse neonatal, infant, and pediatric patient populations
- Floating opportunities across multiple specialty units to enhance clinical skills
- Cerner charting system experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements:
- Active Indiana Respiratory Therapist license (temporary accepted if permanent application submitted)
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NRP certification (required for Labor & Delivery placement)
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years strongly preferred; Level I adult trauma facility experience considered
- NICU or PICU experience required
- Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
- Proficiency in pediatric respiratory equipment and procedures including ventilator management, nitric oxide therapy, and BiPAP/CPAP
- Ability to float between NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics units as needed
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
