Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diagnoses
• 1:6 patient ratio with a daily census of approximately 50 patients
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 13-week contract with 36-hour orientation period
• Specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on site
• Opportunity to care for diverse neuroscience patient populations including seizure disorders, subdural hematomas, and cerebrovascular accidents

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS, NIH, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and Epic charting required
• Experience with neuroscience patients, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line management
• Must be comfortable floating to other Med/Surg and Telemetry areas as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
