Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Torrance, California

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Flexible scheduling required, including weekend availability; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Highlights:

Acute care hospital with 356 staffed beds; 210-240 births per month
Epic charting system; free parking on-site
21-bed unit caring for low and high-risk labor patients including antepartum with multiples, hypertensive disorders, and diabetic conditions
Float to Mother/Baby unit as needed; interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
24 hours of orientation provided; scrubs in any color accepted
Opportunity to circulate and recover cesarean sections, including PP D&C procedures

Requirements:

Valid California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM in lieu of), BLS, and NRP
LA fire card within the last 30 days (required for submission)
Epic EMR experience preferred; telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to scrub and circulate for cesarean sections
Precepting skills strongly preferred
Experience with Baby Friendly practices, non-stress testing, and newborn care preferred
Must be willing to float between like units and potentially to other affiliated facilities within the state
