Description
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights/combination); assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed; 72 hours orientation provided
Highlights:
- Specialized BMT and Oncology unit serving a diverse patient population including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other hematologic conditions
- Advanced treatment modalities including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- 36-bed unit with average daily census of 33 patients; Epic charting system
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical environment with telemetry monitoring
- Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year of current oncology and medical-surgical experience required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
- Experience with BMT, graft-versus-host disease, graft rejection, stem cell therapies, and sepsis management strongly preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line care, port management, and feeding tube care
- Epic charting experience required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
