Schedule: 12-hour shifts, variable weekends based on unit needs

Highlights:

• 6-bed specialty observation unit managing short-stay patients with anticipated discharge within two midnights
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with charge nurse in assignment; supported by PCAs and UCAs
• Epic charting system with Alaris pumps and telemetry monitoring
• Diverse patient population including oncology, post-procedure observation, symptom management, and palliative care
• 72 hours of orientation provided; accepts first-time travelers with minimum 2 years of experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (within the last 3 years); at least 1 year of current specialty experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and OCN preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV starts, and PICC line management
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Skills in blood product administration, central line care, port access/management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and insulin/heparin protocols
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required promptly upon contract signing
