Description
Start Date: April 13, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantee; 13-week assignment; every other weekend (approximately 6 weekends per contract); no call required
Highlights:
- Float position covering Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Progressive Care Units throughout the facility
- Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with diverse diagnoses across MS, MS Tele, and PCU specialties
- Patient ratios: 1:4-5 on PCU; 1:5-6 on MS and MS Telemetry units
- Epic charting system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off; holiday work required per facility policy
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 on MS Telemetry and 1:3-4 on PCU
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, wound care, and critical skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilated patient care, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
- Must be available to complete compliance requirements and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Full compliance required by the Tuesday prior to start date to ensure on-time orientation
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
