Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48 hour guarantee per week; every other weekend; holidays as assigned per facility policy
Highlights:
- Float role across Medical-Surgical, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit settings within a multi-unit hospital system
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MS/Tele units
- Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
- 13-week contract with approximately 6 weekend shifts; maximum 7 days RTO available (blackout dates apply)
- Diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with varied diagnoses across multiple specialty areas
- Collaborative interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in patient ratios of 1:5-6 MS/Tele and 1:4-5 PCU
- Clinical skills including central line management, arterial line management, PICC line care, telemetry monitoring, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, wound care, ventilated patient care, and high flow nasal cannula
- Ability to float to all Medical-Surgical, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care units as needed
- Two supervisory references from Manager level or above highly preferred
- Willingness to work assigned holidays per facility policy
- Ability to complete full compliance requirements and onboarding within required timeframe
