Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 28-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on acuity
• 13-week contract with 24 hours of orientation
• Epic charting system with robust interdisciplinary support
• Experience with stroke management, ICP monitoring, seizure management, and critical care drip titration
• Float opportunities to other ICU and intermediate care units

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry
• Experience with EVD management, Arctic Sun/Zoll temperature management, PCAs, and lumbar drains
• Strong skills in stroke management, post-neurosurgery care, traumatic brain injury, and titrating vasoactive/cardiac drips
• Comfort with floating to other ICU settings based on census needs
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
