Description
Start Date: April 13, 2026
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts). Call coverage required one night per week (5:30 PM – 6:30 AM) and one full weekend per month (24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday).
Highlights:
- Comprehensive case mix including general nuclear medicine studies (bone scans, renal studies, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, HIDA scans, thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroid imaging, VQ perfusions), cardiac imaging, and PET/CT
- Daily caseload of 15–18 patients across all age groups from adolescents to geriatrics
- Four imaging rooms plus PET/CT equipment featuring GE and Siemens technology
- 13-week contract with Epic charting system (online radiology CT training provided)
- Opportunity to work independently in a dynamic department with interdisciplinary support including interpretation services and radiology

Requirements:
- Active Virginia state license in hand, or proof of application with verification of active license from another state
- NMTCB certification required; ARRT (N) preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience with demonstrated proficiency in independent work
- Documented experience in cardiac imaging, bone scans, brain scans, lung scans, renal flow studies, thyroid studies, SPECT, and myocardial imaging
- Competency in IV starts, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures
- Previous travel experience required; seasoned travelers preferred
- Epic charting system experience required (training provided based on experience level)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Flu vaccination required during flu season, October 1 – March 31 (medical exemptions only)
