Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – South Texas

Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Brownsville, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating schedule; 2 weekends per pay period required; no on-call

Highlights:

  • 22-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratios
  • High-acuity setting serving trauma, cardiac alerts, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients
  • Meditech EMR system for documentation and patient tracking
  • Collaborative environment with 55+ dedicated emergency staff
  • Diverse clinical experience including moderate sedation, intubation assistance, and critical care procedures
  • Supportive team structure with charge nurse leadership on every shift

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required or must be obtained upon hire
  • Strong triage assessment and critical thinking skills using ESI guidelines
  • Experience with trauma and cardiac alert protocols preferred
  • Meditech documentation experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred but not required
