Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (every other weekend)

Highlights:

• 13 to 26 week contract available for experienced Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit nurses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7 on a 43-bed cardiac monitoring unit with a daily census of 42
• Comprehensive cardiac care experience including pre/post cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, and advanced cardiac drip management
• Epic charting system with 24-hour orientation program to ensure successful onboarding
• Flexible self-scheduling based on unit needs with interprofessional team support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry and stepdown settings

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license required at start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry AND PCU/Stepdown/IMC experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Advanced cardiac skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, remote monitoring, sheath removal, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Dopamine)
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Ability to float to other units as needed based on census and clinical skills
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
