Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation required. Flexibility with time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular ICU experience with fresh open heart cases including CABG, valve replacements (MVR, AVR), and TAVR procedures
• 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity; ratios may vary when floated to other units
• Float assignments to all ICUs, PACU, Emergency Department for ICU holds, and Intermediate Care units
• Epic charting system preferred; comprehensive orientation and module training provided
• Patient population includes post-operative cardiac surgery, ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and acute/chronic renal failure
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience required (SICU experience may be considered with initial CVICU training)
• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must have hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax OR documented experience with fresh open heart cases
• Proficiency in post-op open heart recovery, Swan-Ganz monitoring, FloTrac, temporary pacers, arterial lines, and chest tube management
• Experience with ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips, and vasoactive medication titration
