Job Opportunity – Oncology/Medical Surgical Telemetry RN – Ohio

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Day/Night or Night rotating shifts; self-scheduling with unit-based needs; 12-hour shifts with flexible weekend rotation

Highlights:

• Work at a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds and specialized oncology units
• Gain experience across multiple oncology specialties including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, and Surgical Oncology
• Staffing ratios: PCU 1:3-1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Telemetry 1:4-1:5
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Structured orientation program: first week Monday-Friday day shift, followed by five bedside orientation shifts
• Opportunity to float to PCU Oncology and specialized Med/Surg Oncology units based on patient needs

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of high acuity Med/Surg Telemetry or higher level experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; OCN and ONS/ONCC certifications are a plus
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Strong clinical skills including chemotherapy administration/monitoring, port access and management, central line care, blood product administration, isolation precautions, and dysrhythmia management
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor
