Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, flexible floating within scope of practice

Highlights:

• Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and medical patients including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, and vascular conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with average daily census of 35 patients in a 36-bed unit
• Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 4:1 to 5:1 patient ratios in telemetry or step-down settings
• Proficiency managing cardiac drips (no titration): milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, heparin
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac cath/angiogram care, and IV insulin protocols
• Two supervisory references required (Manager level or above)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
